In a lighting application, uniformity is usually the ratio of minimum illuminance value to the average illuminance value on a target surface area (min/avg uniformity). The ratio of minimum to the maximum illuminance values on a target surface area is also called as uniformity (min/max uniformity). The uniformity value determines how uniformly the illuminance is distributed on the target surface area.
