In optics, Lambertian Distribution of light is the distribution of diffusely reflected light which is directly proportional to the cosine of the angle θ between the direction of the incident light and the surface normal; I = I0cos(θ). The intensity distribution of light of most LEDs can be approximated as Lambertian distribution.
